- This Program was written in Amiga Basic and compiled using "Cursor".
- Shareware will go toward buying a more complete BASIC Compiler.
- In researching the subject of Numerology I find that unlike Astrology,
- the terms used in Numerology vary with different authors. For example
- one author may describe a number derived from ones' birthday as the
- "Destiny number" while another would say the "destiny number" refers to
- the number derived from the total of all consonants. Bearing this in mind
- I chose to omit the technical terms and focus on the most common formulas.
- In Numerology the alphabet is divided into groups of letters numbered
- 1 through 9. With the letter ''Y'' counting as either a consonant or a
- vowel (depending on it's use). Example:
- 1 A J S
- 2 B K T
- 3 C L U
- 4 D M V
- 5 E N W
- 6 F O X
- 7 G P Y
- 8 H Q Z
- 9 I R
-
- When a name adds up to more than 9, the digits of the answer is added
- together until a number 9 or under is arrived at. Let's say your name adds
- up to the number 158. You would add 1+5+8 to get 14. 14 is still above 9
- so you would add the 1 and 4 to get 5. Therefore your number is 5.
- In Numerology the number derived from the birthdate, total of all letters,
- total of vowels, total of the consonants and total of odd and even numbers
- are considered most significant. I recommend that you read several books on the
- subject before drawing any conclusions for or against it.
- The program seems to REQIURE the Bas_Runtime.Library that comes with
- Cursor to be in the Libs Directory of the disk you boot with. This
- program will run either from the CLI or the Workbench.
- Enjoy!
